Study Questions for Week 5

1. Be sure to know the stories associated with the beginnings of Judaism, Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, and Confucianism.  It will be helpful to be able to compare these origins.

2. Be sure to know the main elements of the religious beliefs of these ‘systems’.

3. Be able to compare these elements with those in classical Greek philosophy.

4. Be able to compare the approaches taken by Socrates and Confucius.
