1. How does Cahen explain the ethnic transformation of
Anatolia/Asia Minor from largely Greek and Armenian to largely Turkish? 2. Inalcik's explanation of the Emergence of the Ottoman State demonstrates
some significant differences from those provided by Lindner and Cahen. Can you find them? 3. What is Lindner's main thesis? And how does he distinguish his views
from those of others, such as Inalcik?
