There is no written assignment for this week.  On Tuesday, I'd like us all to discuss the very interesting issues raised at the ends of their books by David Christian and Jared Diamond.  We will also consider the two portraits above - and why they might appear on this week's page.  You might think about it in advance!

On Thursday, we'll begin with oral reports on your final projects.  I'd like to have ten ready to go on that day, with ten or so each on Tuesday and Thursday of next week.  There is no final exam for this class.

Would you please submit your final project to me by the time of the scheduled final exam, which is Wednesday, May 3, 12 noon - it should be turned in to the History office 301 Morrill Hall by that time.

If you would like to receive your project back with my comments on it by the end of finals week, I'll need to have it by the end of class on Thursday, April 27.  Otherwise, you should give me an addressed envelope in which I can send it to you after finals week.
